Cleanup Methods
- One-tap cleanup: Quickly clean all clearable data
- Categorized cleanup: Clean data by category
- Per-conversation cleanup: Clean files in chats individually by Direct Chat/Group Chat conversation
Chat File Cleanup
Files can be cleaned for individual Direct Chat or Group Chat conversations:
- Enter conversation settings
- Select files/images/videos to clean
- Confirm cleanup
Clearing message history only affects the operator’s own view across devices. The other party’s/group members’ message history is unaffected, and the original data is retained in the cloud.
File Expiration
Enabled and configured with a validity period via the admin console.
- Files/images/videos past the validity period are marked as expired in the client
- Expired files cannot be viewed or downloaded
- The server retains the data and does not delete it
- Files favorited before expiration are unaffected
- Files saved to Cloud Drive before expiration are unaffected

Follow Up Later
While not part of storage cleanup, the “Follow Up Later” feature helps manage pending messages to avoid missing important ones:
- Add conversations or messages to the “Follow Up Later” list (up to 100 items)
- Long-press/right-click a conversation → “Add to Follow Up Later”
- Tap an item in the “Follow Up Later” list to open the original conversation
- Long-press/right-click → “Mark as Handled” to remove it from the list
